Joshua House Recovery Ministries
Volunteer Board Members
Joshua House is currently seeking Board Members who understand and support the vision and purpose of this ministry to help addicted men find a new start in life.
The board meets approximately 5-6 times per year and is responsible for fulfilling governance responsibilities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and bylaws, conducting board business effectively and efficiently, and holding to the Strategic Plan.
The board is responsible for governance, oversight and major decision making representing the interest of stakeholders.

Follower of Jesus Christ who wholeheartedly subscribes to the Joshua House Statement of Faith and Lifestyle and Morality Policy.

A love for Christian ministry to help addicted men.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Visionary, strategic thinking.

Well-versed in board governance

Ability to understand financial statements.

Critical thinking in a nonprofit environment

Understanding of risk management

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability

Must be a Canadian Citizen

Attendance. Willing to attend 75% of all board meetings.
Canadian Resident Board Members will be expected to attend all regularly scheduled board meetings (virtual or in person) typically held in Abbotsford, BC and committee meetings as assigned.
